So what do I have to do?

Film Maker

The SSFF invites filmmakers of all backgrounds and all levels of experience to make short films for the festival. The filmmakers must adhere to all of the following rules:

  • Your film must be made specifically for the 2012 and the festival must be the film’s first public screening.
  • Your film must in some way address the theme of “Living in a Land Down Under: Life in a Many Cultured Society”. For bonus points you could include at least one of either a visual or aural mention of a location, object or person, either historical or current that relates particularly to Sunshine.
  • Your film must be no longer than 5 minutes (including titles and credits)
  • Your film must be entered under one of the three categories.
    • General: Open to all members of the community
    • Schools:  Schools can enter as a team. (individual  students can also submit entries under the general category)
    • Mobile device:  You must shoot your film on a mobile phone device or tablets with video capabilities (schools can enter as a team)
  • $40 entry fee per entry. Schools teams enter free.
