Congratulations to the 2012 SSFF winners!

We did it! We had the first Sunshine Film Festival Gala Screening and what an event it was! Thanks to all of you who attended and stuck very supportively of us while we worked through the difficult bits. Thank you for all the smiles, the cheers and the hugs and the encouraging emails that have been coming through. We did this together and we are looking forward to next year.

Congratulations to the very worthy winners:

• The Mobile Phone Category was won by Isabel Le for We live in a Wonderful Time.
• The Schools Category was won by The Zakanjs, a registered home school with their entry The Bird.
• The General Category was won by Michael Sandic for Man vs Sunshine.

A massive thank you to all who took this leap of faith with us and stuck through all the bumpy bits. In particular thanks to:

• The filmmakers for being so inspiring.
• The audiencefor all of your support.
• The Sunshine Business Association (SBA) who auspice the festival.

The intent of this Festival is to unearth the talent of local filmmakers of all ages and experience, and celebrate Sunshine’s history, people, enterprises and environment.
